The Roosevelt High School Band program is dedicated to providing a variety of musical opportunities for all of their students and allowing them the chance to reach their highest possible level of excellence. Our emphasis is the development & growth of each individual student, which includes character-building, commitment, cooperation, dependability, determination, discipline, leadership, punctuality, respect, responsibility, and service to community.

1.4.12 The Roosevelt High School Band Parent Organization is sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser in the
Commons on February 4th, 2012 from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Tickets for this event are $7.00 each and can be purchased from any band student or available in the Band Room. All proceeds from this event will go to supporting the 2012-2013 RHS Band program.
1.4.12 Congratulations to Jake Mahowald for being awarded the Michael Miller Scholarship at the All-City High School Jazz Band Concert on November 21st, 2011 at Augustana College. This scholarship of $1,000 is awarded to one high school ensemble participant, which allows the student to further his or her musical studies with funding for private lessons or band camp. The All-City High School Jazz group is sponsored by the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society. The band consists of approximately 20 students from Sioux Falls Roosevelt, Washington, and Lincoln, as well as Sioux Falls Christian, Sioux Falls Lutheran High School, and O'Gorman High School.
